Parkour & Freerunning are popular activities which build a practitioner's health, confidence and spirit. It also brings communities together and binds friendship.
A parkour & freerunning park would open the sport up to the whole of Dorset, get people fit and get people talking. It would also allow people to learn from more experienced practitioners in a safe environment.
Train Hard Parkour & Freerunning have been active in Dorchester and the local area for over 5 years, passing on knowledge of parkour and freerunning to people wishing to take part in these diverse activities. We believe that an area made specifically for these disciplines will allow more people to access the sports, improve local peoples health and fitness and bring people together. This year will see parkour become a nationally recognised sport under parkouruk, with parkour parks springing up around the country and the Olympics on its way there is no better time to encourage people to get out try something new which is both fun and challenging.Working in conjunction with Train Hard and local people the council could build a facility that achieved much more than just a place for people to practice, they would cement themselves as an community innovator, treading ground where only a few have before. To find out more about Parkour & Freerunning click here.
We, the undersigned, give our support to a parkour and freerunning park/area to be built in Dorchester.
